Bringing the Spirit of Shivaji Maharaj Closer to the People with Just Rs 50
In a thoughtful initiative aimed at promoting historical awareness, Shivsrushti has announced a Rs 50 entry ticket valid from May 15 to July 15, 2025. Shivsrushti is one of Asia’s largest heritage-based theme parks located in Ambegaon Budruk, Pune. The reduced pricing is made possible by a generous contribution of Rs 51 lakh from the Abhay Bhutada Foundation. The main objective is to make the teachings and legacy of Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj easily accessible to a wider audience.

Abhay Bhutada Foundation Steps Forward
The Abhay Bhutada Foundation, under the guidance of its founder and chairman Abhay Bhutada, has always believed in supporting causes that strengthen education and cultural values. This donation is in line with the Foundation’s continued efforts to enable large-scale public participation in learning-based experiences. It is not only a financial contribution but also a social message that history belongs to everyone.
By enabling this two-month price drop, the Foundation is opening doors for individuals who may not have been able to visit such an informative venue due to budget limitations. The initiative encourages families, students, and tourists to experience the grandeur of a leader who reshaped Indian history.
A Concept Rooted in Visionary Ideals
The inspiration behind the park stems from the work of the late Babasaheb Purandare, who committed his life to preserving and sharing the values of Shivaji Maharaj. The theme park, led by Chairman Jagdish Kadam, continues to uphold this mission. Shivsrushti is not a typical entertainment venue. It is a space created to inspire respect for the courage, leadership, and principles demonstrated by Shivaji Maharaj throughout his lifetime.
Interactive Learning Through Real-Life Settings
Built across a spacious 21-acre campus, Shivsrushti uses real-life replicas and modern effects to present 17th-century history in an engaging format. Each section of the park is constructed with a clear purpose—offering insights that can educate while leaving a lasting emotional impact.
One of the top features is the Time Machine Theatre. This immersive experience was launched in February 2025 with the presence of Maharashtra’s Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis. It combines 3D visuals, motion effects, and advanced projections to walk the audience through the crucial stages of Shivaji Maharaj’s journey.
Another section, Durg Vaibhav, explores the detailed art of fort-building and the strategic thinking behind each Maratha stronghold. The Ranangan section focuses on military tactics that defined Shivaji Maharaj’s victories on the battlefield.
The park also includes sections such as Shrimant Yogi and Sinhasanadhishwar, which show how Shivaji Maharaj governed with foresight and empathy. These areas demonstrate how his decisions were always guided by public good and ethical strength.
Bringing Culture to Life Through Structures and Symbols
Beyond narratives, Shivsrushti brings culture to life through spaces that represent the religious and social identity of the Maratha period. Visitors will witness symbolic locations like the Tulja Bhavani temple and the Ganga Sagar lake. There are also vibrant artworks that represent key events and themes from Shivaji Maharaj’s time.
All of these are built with attention to detail and historical correctness. The idea is to let visitors not just see history but feel as though they are part of it.
Easy Access for All Age Groups
By cutting the ticket price to Rs 50, Shivsrushti is encouraging a wide demographic to participate in this historical experience. Children, educators, parents, and even retired citizens can now plan a visit without worrying about costs. The timing of the initiative is well planned too, as it falls during the summer vacation, making it easier for school-going children and their families to attend.
Tickets can be booked only through the official Shivsrushti website. With interest expected to be high, advance bookings are recommended to avoid missing out.

Creating Lasting Educational Impact
The move to slash prices is not just a promotional decision. It is a well-thought-out plan to boost cultural education through direct experience. It allows citizens to step beyond textbooks and experience real-world learning.
The Abhay Bhutada Foundation’s contribution reflects its broader belief in strengthening community knowledge. Whether it is through education, science, or cultural outreach, the foundation has consistently supported causes that build a stronger society.
Giving Every Citizen a Chance to Connect
This initiative is a call to action for everyone to revisit the values that once built a powerful nation. Shivaji Maharaj’s story is not just a chapter in history. It is a continuing example of discipline, justice, and nation-building. By making this theme park available at such a low cost, the doors are now open to everyone—no matter their income or background.
The partnership between Shivsrushti and the Abhay Bhutada Foundation makes this vision possible. It turns the idea of inclusive learning into a reality, using historical storytelling as a tool for national unity and identity.
